Annual Day 2011 Celebrated on 23-24th Dec 2011

Annual Day was celebrated on 23, 24 December,2011 at Gandiv Auditorium. The Chief Guest on 23 Dec 2011 was Mrs. Asha Sandes, Vice Convenor, Gandiv FWO and Col P S Shekhawat the guest of honour. The Chief Guest on 24 Dec 2011 was Brig. Sandes, Chairman Army Public School, Kota and the guest of honour Mrs Rajlaxmi Shekhawat.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with traditional lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and the guest of honour. A melodious rendition of Saraswati Vandana was followed by a welcome song by the students. Thereafter, Dr D Chaubey, the Principal presented Annual Report of the school.
Tiny tots of the primary wing made their exotic presence felt with action song ‘Waka Waka’ and thought provoking Skit ‘Yamraj On Earth’ that questioned Man's role in the near destruction of the environment . The cultural bonanza showcased a Sanskrit song ‘Bharat Mata Budhjan Gita’ seeped in patriotic fervour. Fusion of dances (Naga, Pahadi and Goan) won accolades all and sundry present in the auditorium.
The Senior Wing presented a humorous sattire ‘Satyakiran’, a typical truth ray which induced people to speak the truth. The English Skit ‘Sky Is the Limit” demonstrated message that there wasn't age bar for the people who seek to learn or gain new knowledge. Group Dance ‘Ashayein’ showcased genuine need to spread communal harmony in the society.
Colourful fusion of the delicate eastern dancing style with the robust western style was attraction of the event. The people thoroughly enjoyed Rajasthani folk and the concluding energetic Bhangra.
The chief guest gave away the Prizes for outstanding achievements in scholastic and co-scholastic areas. Among the prize winners were Parth Bhavsar, who also received Lt. Gen Bahadur Singh Memorial Trophy for standing first in the XII class Board Exam. Mr Parth Bhavsar is also the CBSE topper in disabled category of students. Anmol Yadav whose Science model Low Cost DC inverter has been selected for the National Science Project Competition was awarded with certificate and memento. Mrs. Sonali Mehra received the best teacher’s award. Gandhi House emerged the Overall champion house. The chief guest Brig Sandes complemented the students and staff for excellent presentation during the show.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks by the Principal. The guests and dignitaries got an opportunity to see the artistic and scientific creativity of the students who displayed their creativity in the auditorium. Long Jump, Discus Throw, Javelin Throw and Shotput. Audience were spell bound with presentation of Umbrella PT and Kalbeliya by select students of the school.

Annual Day 2011 Celebrated on 23-24th Dec 2011

Annual Day was celebrated on 23, 24 December,2011 at Gandiv Auditorium. The Chief Guest on 23 Dec 2011 was Mrs. Asha Sandes, Vice Convenor, Gandiv FWO and Col P S Shekhawat the guest of honour. The Chief Guest on 24 Dec 2011 was Brig. Sandes, Chairman Army Public School, Kota and the guest of honour Mrs Rajlaxmi Shekhawat.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with traditional lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and the guest of honour. A melodious rendition of Saraswati Vandana was followed by a welcome song by the students. Thereafter, Dr D Chaubey, the Principal presented Annual Report of the school.
Tiny tots of the primary wing made their exotic presence felt with action song ‘Waka Waka’ and thought provoking Skit ‘Yamraj On Earth’ that questioned Man's role in the near destruction of the environment . The cultural bonanza showcased a Sanskrit song ‘Bharat Mata Budhjan Gita’ seeped in patriotic fervour. Fusion of dances (Naga, Pahadi and Goan) won accolades all and sundry present in the auditorium.
The Senior Wing presented a humorous sattire ‘Satyakiran’, a typical truth ray which induced people to speak the truth. The English Skit ‘Sky Is the Limit” demonstrated message that there wasn't age bar for the people who seek to learn or gain new knowledge. Group Dance ‘Ashayein’ showcased genuine need to spread communal harmony in the society.
Colourful fusion of the delicate eastern dancing style with the robust western style was attraction of the event. The people thoroughly enjoyed Rajasthani folk and the concluding energetic Bhangra.
The chief guest gave away the Prizes for outstanding achievements in scholastic and co-scholastic areas. Among the prize winners were Parth Bhavsar, who also received Lt. Gen Bahadur Singh Memorial Trophy for standing first in the XII class Board Exam. Mr Parth Bhavsar is also the CBSE topper in disabled category of students. Anmol Yadav whose Science model Low Cost DC inverter has been selected for the National Science Project Competition was awarded with certificate and memento. Mrs. Sonali Mehra received the best teacher’s award. Gandhi House emerged the Overall champion house. The chief guest Brig Sandes complemented the students and staff for excellent presentation during the show.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks by the Principal. The guests and dignitaries got an opportunity to see the artistic and scientific creativity of the students who displayed their creativity in the auditorium. There were all smiles on the faces of the audience that truly told the tale as to how much they enjoyed the show.


Sports Day 2011 Celebrated in APS Kota

Army Public School, Kota celebrated its Sports Day on 14 Dec 2011, wherein about 400 students participated in various Track & Field Events. The gala event started on a bright note with March Past by the four Houses – Gandhi, Patel, Subhash and Tagore. After the oath taking ceremony Col PS Shekhawat declared the meet open.

The meet triggered off with PT display, Yoga Pyramid and Dumbells PT. The highlights of the Field and Track Events were 100 mtr, 200, 400, 800, 1500 and the relays 4x100 and 4x400 mtr. Long Jump, Discus Throw, Javelin Throw and Shotput. Audience were spell bound with presentation of Umbrella PT and Kalbeliya by select students of the school.

The Chief Guest Brig Sandes, Chairman APS Kota gave away the trophies to the houses declared victorious in various events. Overall Championship Trophy was bagged by Gandhi House whereas, Tagore House was declared the best Marching Contingent in the event.
